What does Jesus bring into our lives?
✨He brings peace and breaks the spirit of fear.
✨He brings good not evil.
✨He brings great joy to all people.
This doesn’t mean that we never have anything to be afraid of, there is no evil surrounding us, or no sadness or sorrow ever touches our hearts.
What it does mean is that the peace from the Prince of Peace overcomes all fear as we walk by faith; His goodness, which is greater than all our sorrows, follows us all the days of our lives, and the authentic joy of His abiding presence gives us strength no matter what we face in our journey toward everlasting life.
His peace, goodness and great joy is available for “all” people. However, it is clearly evident in today’s world that all, including many so-called believers, are not experiencing the peace, good tidings and great joy Jesus came to bring.
As we are filled with the spirit of Jesus, we will be carriers of His peace, His good news and His great joy too. Chaos and drama, fear and trauma, evil tidings, and sorrowful lives do not represent the LIGHT and LIFE to all He brings. In spite of encountering many of these things, we have been called to rise above all the darkness to shine His marvelous light!
In order to receive all that Jesus brings, we must first “behold” Jesus – believing in who He is as Christ our Savior. We must choose to turn away from the dark, and look upon His love and light in worshipful awe and wonder of His glory and grace. Christ literally means “anointed one” and His anointing breaks the power of fear, evil and sorrow with peace, goodness and joy.
May we feel His supernatural peace, receive His love, goodness, power, mercy and grace, and be filled with His great joy for all our days. Amen.
That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! And you will recognize him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger.”
