Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither,Continue reading “Meditation Joy”
Christmas time is here. Spreading joy and cheer. But for many, they are sensing more sorrow and shedding more tears. When you have experienced loss of a loved one, broken relationships, or a terrible tragedy, Christmas brings memories, both the joyful and the painful. Yes, joy and sorrow co-exist together for the sons and daughtersContinue reading “Immanuel, bring Your Peace and Joy to Me”
God desires to connect us to others within His body to encourage, strengthen and equip us to further His kingdom. The enemy desires to separate and isolate us from others to hinder God’s work in our lives and the advancement of the kingdom of God. As lovers of God and followers of Christ, gathering togetherContinue reading “The Joy of Fellowship over Isolation”
We cannot be pitiful and joyful at the same time. I am not always Joyful Jenny. Sometimes I am down with Debbie. I have to spend more time with Jesus on these days. It’s not a quick fix. Perhaps you relate? Sometimes, instead of a praise dance party I have a pity pouting party and that leads to my “Joyful Jenny” name being hypocritical. Self pity always leads me away from the restoration of Joyful Jenny to digressing into the depressive “Debbie Downer” personality for sure.

Where once there were thorns, cypress trees will grow. Where nettles grew, myrtles will sprout up. These events will bring great honor to the Lord’s name; they will be an everlasting sign of His power and love.
