People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy.
Receive this Word from God.
Receive His mercy.
You may or may not receive mercy from people, but you can receive mercy from God.
Mercy is not getting the punishment we deserve. All of us have sinned and none of us deserve mercy. A right revelation of God’s unconditional love, amazing grace and abundant mercy In Christ, will lead us out of concealing, hiding in shame, and living like a hostage in bondage. Confessing and turning leads to prospering in the Spirit.*
Mercy is a blessing that is an act of divine favor or compassion; withholding the punishment or judgment our sins deserve. God will give mercy to those who ask for it.
Our sin is never concealed from God anyway. El Roi, our God who sees all, is just waiting for us to agree with Him – this is confession. Then, our heartfelt repentance brings about a change of heart and mind that leads to a turning away from living a lifestyle of habitual sin.*
Christ died to liberate us from the prison of sin. His Spirit empowers us to live a life of freedom in the Spirit.*
If you are breaking free or have broken free from a former lifestyle that is out of alignment with the Holy Spirit, connect with people who understand God’s mercy, have freely received it themselves, and will freely release it to you. Some people’s actions speak, “Mercy for me, but not for thee.”
This verse is personal to me. I remember who I was. I confessed. I received mercy. I walked forward into the new prosperous life in Christ. I am still confessing, turning, and receiving His new mercies daily, and you can too.
His mercies are new every morning. He will be merciful to all who desire to move forward and walk into the new. (Lamentations 3:22-24)
