Live a Life of Prayer

Today is the annual National Day of Prayer. Certainly, now more than ever, many are agreeing we are in a time of prayer. The Church is uniting in prayer and calling for more prayer. This is true that we need to pray more and in unity, and this is a good and positive result of this pandemic pressing us to pray more. However, as a follower of Christ, we never need a crisis to live a life of prayer.

Jesus said, “When you pray…” speaking to His disciples because prayer was to be a part of their daily lifestyle. A common question is, “How do I know God’s will for my life?” God’s will is His Word. Part of God’s will is for us to “pray continually” – when things are going well and when they are not. Being consistently JOYFUL, PRAYERFUL and THANKFUL is God’s will for all followers of Christ. Jesus said His Temple was to be a house of prayer. Yes, the place where the church gathers should be a place of prayer, but we individually are the temple where the Holy Spirit dwells and we are called to be believers in prayer. When we believe something, our actions follow our beliefs. If we believe in prayer, our hearts will be moved to pray everyday.

Let’s definitely pray today and let’s never stop praying, thanking, and rejoicing no matter what! This is how we live a life of prayer.

Today and everyday is a good day to pray and join others in prayer!

So, pray. Pray continually. Repent and pray. Forgive others and pray. Ask for forgiveness and pray. Pray for all leaders. Pray for our President, our Pastors, the Church and unity within the church. Pray for fathers, mothers, marriages, families, children, and friends. Pray for teachers, first responders and medical workers. Pray for the hurting, the homeless and the lost. Pray for healing, for comfort, for peace, protection, and provision over all. Pray for salvations and healing over all. Pray for a cure and an end to COVID-19. Pray for spiritual awakening among all the nations of the world. Pray about everything. Pray in faith. Pray believing and expecting God to hear and answer.

Pray for ALL and all for God’s glory.

All need prayer and all of us need to pray.

At each and every sunrise you will hear my voice as I prepare my sacrifice of prayer to you. Every morning I lay out the pieces of my life on the altar and wait for your fire to fall upon my heart. Psalm 5:3 The Passion Translation

Confess and acknowledge how you have offended one another and then pray for one another to be instantly healed, for tremendous power is released through the passionate, heartfelt prayer of a godly believer! Elijah was a man with human frailties, just like all of us, but he prayed and received supernatural answers. He actually shut the heavens over the land so there would be no rain for three and a half years! Then he prayed again and the skies opened up over the land so that the rain came again and produced the harvest. James 5:16-18 The Passion Translation
