One thing I love about prayer is we can pray anywhere and at any time anywhere we are. Our prayers are powerful and the effect of our prayers releases the flow of God’s power beyond what we can see.
Being especially reminded today that even when I am limited in my availability to others or in other ways, God’s omniscient presence and power knows no boundaries or distance. I can always pray and expect God to answer and move by His Spirit. Our prayers are limitless in that respect. Why? Because God is everywhere. I may be limited with my time, resources and/or the ability to change any situation for the better, but my prayers and God’s power to answer sovereignly and miraculously are never limited.
We can be overtaken with worry, doubt, and fear or we can pray, believe, trust, and expect God to display His unlimited power, resources, and glory. The choice is ours. Prayer is simply communicating with God openly and honestly. He already sees and knows all anyway. Anytime we are tempted to worry, doubt, or fear, our first response should be to pray in faith.
In Acts 12, believers were gathered praying and Peter was miraculously delivered from prison. These “believers” were quite shocked when this miracle of deliverance actually occurred. Often this is how we so called “believers” are too. We pray without really expecting God, or we don’t dare ask God to even do something that would be impossible in the natural. We forget He is the “ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE” GOD of the universe. When the unexpected, unexplainable, or what seemed impossible occurs, many of us are even guilty of discounting God’s intervention, miraculous or otherwise. Lord, forgive us.
Jesus said we should always pray and not give up or stop. He said His house should be called above everything else a “house of prayer.” Luke 18:1; Matthew 21:13
Pray at all times. Pray believing. Pray expecting God to do more than you can ask, think or imagine. Pray, pray, pray. 1 Thessalonians 5:17; Mark 11:22-25; Ephesians 3:20
The prayers of those who have been made righteous before God through the sacrifice of Jesus are powerful. James 5:16
The prayers of the righteous are powerful, and our prayers can reach out to others anywhere they are from anywhere we are.
