A good daily prayer…
Holy Spirit, fill me fresh and anew today. Guide my steps and decisions, my speech and my vision. Burn away what needs to die within my heart and soul. Ignite the fire of Your Presence so fruitfulness will overflow. Help me to continue surrendering my heart and life to my Father’s good purpose and plan. All for Your glory, God. Amen.
Life transformation, growth and maturity for the Christ follower is the result of a fully surrendered heart. It is not striving, but continual receiving and releasing control to the Holy Spirit. There is freedom, not legalism. A freed heart that continues in the lifestyle process of fully surrendering to the Holy Spirit will not be overcome by the strongholds of deception and sin, but will overcome through God’s glorious power within.
This is all I want to ask of you: did you receive the [Holy] Spirit as the result of obeying [the requirements of] the Law, or was it the result of hearing [the message of salvation and] with faith [believing it]? Are you so foolish and senseless? Having begun [your new life by faith] with the Spirit, are you now being perfected and reaching spiritual maturity by the flesh [that is, by your own works and efforts to keep the Law]?”
Galatians 3:2-3 Amplified Bible
“Now, the “Lord” I’m referring to is the Holy Spirit, and wherever He is Lord, there is freedom. We can all draw close to Him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into His very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”
