On June 13th, 1994 (28 years ago), very tragically and unexpectedly at the young age of 30, my beloved brother, Donnie, entered his heavenly home. Who are these mostly unknown heroes we need to remember? They include, but are not limited to, the Firefighters, First Responders, Police Officers, and evening the extraordinary fellow citizens who love people enough to risk and endanger their own lives to save others. You will never see these true heroes rioting, but instead these are the brave ones who risk their own lives by running into burning buildings to save others whom they do not even know.
In times of crisis, true heroes always arise. They are not born then, however, they have been heroes all along by just quietly serving behind the scenes.
