Long-suffering – who wants to do this?

Long-suffering - who wants to do this? Yet, long-suffering (or patient endurance) is a characteristic of those overflowing with the fruit of the Holy Spirit. No long-suffering required when we choose to cut people out of our lives. "I'm done" is the mindset of many. I personally get this and I too have been "done,"... Continue Reading →

Am I Overcoming with Joy through Praise and Worship?

Living as a victorious and joyful overcoming one this side of heaven will require us to keep moving by the Spirit and keep shouting God’s praises in the face of obstacles and opposition.

2022 Year End Reflection and Encouragement for 2023

As I share some of my own personal reflection from 2022, perhaps you can relate too? May we all be encouraged to keep on trusting, believing and expecting God’s faithfulness to keep doing something brand new in and through us all for His glory as we head into the new year. Lots of blessings, challenges,... Continue Reading →

Do not despair, do the opposite!

In the midst of opposition, pain, sorrow and suffering, we must do the opposite of what the enemy is enticing us to do. Believe, remain joyful and hopeful, brave and courageous, full of faith overcoming every spirit of despair, while patiently waiting and expecting to see the goodness of God in the land of the living.

It’s Your Choice

We cannot be pitiful and joyful at the same time. I am not always Joyful Jenny. Sometimes I am down with Debbie. I have to spend more time with Jesus on these days. It’s not a quick fix. Perhaps you relate? Sometimes, instead of a praise dance party I have a pity pouting party and that leads to my “Joyful Jenny” name being hypocritical. Self pity always leads me away from the restoration of Joyful Jenny to digressing into the depressive “Debbie Downer” personality for sure.

Can you relate?

Can you relate to the parable of the persistent widow? Am I persistent in prayer? This parable of the persistent widow I relate to and not just from 2017. Today, on day 18 of 21 days of prayer and fasting at our church, it was timely for me personally to be reminded of this WORD.... Continue Reading →

Morning has broken…

It is also good to proclaim and sing of God's love and faithfulness in and through our mourning and loss.   #morninghasbroken #mourninghasbroken One of my dearest friends, a creative spirit, and a mighty warrior woman of God is using the beautiful, old song by Cat Stevens entitled "Morning has Broken" in our upcoming dance... Superwoman mindset vs. Godly woman mindset

My thoughts a few weeks ago - just now posting! Superwoman mindset: Today I will (not necessarily in the order listed): pray worship study the Word water plants feed my dog exercise clean my house (least likely to occur - made beds about as good as it gets) create a grocery/store list go to the... My “PAINFUL P” Thoughts

My pain has pressed me to pray, praise, and pen - not necessarily in that order. #pressintoGod #pray #praise and #pen #journal #release We are all familiar with the common phrase, "No pain, no gain."  Here's another thought:  Know pain and know the gain that comes from allowing your pain to cause you to gain... Creative Clutter

Creative clutter can create a beautiful vision for the eyes to behold.  Often us creative souls battle cluttered minds.  Help, Lord!  Clear the clutter Lord so I can hear You clearly and attend to the call you created me for. #cleartheclutter #helpmefocus #creativecall #creativemindstruggles #canurelate  You will keep in perfect peace those who trust in... Targeted? Take up Your Sword?

#mightywarriorwomen #forsuchatimeasthis #girlswithswords If the enemy can't get to you, he will try to get at what is closest to your heart.  A mother's heart is always for her children, just like our Heavenly Father's heart is for His children. And so I say for all of us warrior women, "When you think of me,... Continue Reading →

It’s all good. Not!

There is a common phrase that sounds like truth.  The phrase, "It's all good" sounds like a good, positive quote, and it is that. "It's all good"?  No, it's not all good.  I like Pastor Steven Furtick's quote, "It's never all good."  This is truth.  It's NEVER ALL GOOD, BUT GOD WILL WORK "ALL THESE... Continue Reading →

Need a little exercise challenge?

Like anything in life, once you've established a habit or discipline of something, that habit, whether it be good or bad, is not easily broken.  By human nature, most of us don't like the terms "exercise" or "discipline" but none of us can deny that without these healthy habits being lived out in our... From “Baca” to Blessings

Those who will not praise God when things are going well are certainly not likely to praise God when things are not going well.   However, this is exactly what is needed most when we pass through the "Valley of Baca" as referenced in Psalm 84.  The Valley of Baca or "Valley of Weeping," refers to the various difficulties that... Unexpected Path Still Good

The longer I travel on this journey of faith with the Lord, the less I know about where His direction is leading.  One thing I have discovered is His path is usually never the road I presumed I would travel, nor the route I might prefer.  Nevertheless, His path is still always good and will... Open Door to Adversity

When God opens a door to use you in ministry, adversity should be expected. For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries. 1 Corinthians 16:9 (NKJV) Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you.  Instead, be very glad—for... Still Determined

Despite daily demands, disappointments, discouragement, delays, devils, distractions, and detours, still determined to keep digging deeper, dreaming, discovering destiny, and devoting my all to the delight of The Dream Giver. No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.  Romans 8:37 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved... Continue Reading →

“Off with their heads!”

This is the devil's strategy and not just a quote from the Queen of Hearts' character in Alice in Wonderland. Even in the movie, Braveheart, and other similarly epic battle films, you will notice one of the main goals of the King of England and the English infantry was to take out the Scottish leader, Sir William...
